The unit, part by part

Every figure below is a confirmed value for this unit. Anything not yet confirmed is not printed.

Render of the 350 L slurry tank configuration with vessel, hopper, control cabinet and pump
Configuration render
  1. 5 L powder hopperTop-mounted stainless steel hopper with its own clamp valve, for controlled addition of powders and additives.
  2. Torispherical top headTri-Clamp sanitary ports, with no dead legs at the connections.
  3. 350 L vessel in AISI 316LRa ≤ 0.4 µm inside, satin outside, H/D ratio 1.5:1.
  4. Sight glass on the shellLevel and agitation can be checked from outside, without opening the vessel.
  5. Bottom-mounted magnetic mixerSeal-less magnetic drive: nothing passes through the vessel wall, so there is no dynamic seal to leak or to clean apart.
  6. Four load cells250 kg each, 1,000 kg total nominal capacity. OIML R60 C3, IP67.
  7. DN25 bottom outletZero dead leg, on a fully drainable torispherical bottom.

Components and why they matter

Shear beam load cell of the type fitted under the vessel
01

Gravimetric control: four load cells

Weight is the most direct measure of what enters and leaves the vessel. Four load cells read the full vessel mass in real time, so additions and transfers can be dosed and logged by mass, with no level-sensor guesswork on foaming or high-solids slurries.

  • 4 × 250 kg = 1,000 kg total nominal capacity
  • OIML R60 C3
  • IP67
Bottom-mounted magnetic mixer
02

Seal-less magnetic agitation

Keeps solids in suspension and powders dispersing, without a single dynamic seal on the vessel: one less contamination path, and a mixer that is cleaned together with the tank.

  • bottom-mounted
  • magnetic coupling
  • no shaft penetration
Peristaltic pump with #88 and #92 tubing
03

Peristaltic transfer

The product only touches the tubing: no valves, no seals, no contact with pump parts. Ideal for abrasive or shear-sensitive slurries, and the only wetted part is a replaceable tube.

  • industrial peristaltic pump
  • tubing sizes #88 / #92
Touchscreen HMI of the control cabinet
04

Control cabinet

The unit is driven from its own cabinet: the operator sets and follows the process on the touchscreen, without a separate control station.

  • AISI 304 cabinet
  • touchscreen HMI
  • emergency stop
  • signal tower
/// Applications

Where it fits

Slurry & suspension preparation

High-solids media, powders and adsorbents kept homogeneous while they are dosed by weight.

Media & buffer preparation

Powder addition through the hopper into an agitated, fully drainable vessel.

Substrate feed vessel

Gravimetric dosing to the bioreactor in fed-batch processes.
