Fermented biogas
Anaerobic fermentation and gas fermentation to convert organic substrates and CO₂ into methane and value molecules. Systems with dedicated gas management and ATEX configurations for explosive atmospheres.
The application
Fermented biogas turns wastewater, biomass and waste gases into renewable energy and chemical building blocks. Anaerobic processes and gas fermentation require accurate control of the vessel atmosphere and safe handling of flammable gases.
Our bioreactors integrate dedicated gas lines, redox and pH control and ATEX-certified configurations, taking the process safely from lab trial to demonstration scale.
Technology involved
Gas-tight vessels with atmosphere control, gas dosing and recirculation systems, and instrumentation certified for hazardous zones.
- Dedicated gas management. Mass-flow controllers for CO₂, H₂ and syngas, with recirculation and off-gas composition measurement.
- Anaerobic control. Monitoring of redox, pH and temperature to keep anaerobic conditions stable.
- ATEX configurations. Instrumentation and panels certified to operate in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Continuous mode. Continuous and chemostat operation to maximise volumetric productivity.
